Personal Profile

Dr. Nurit Jacobs Cederboum - a Multidisciplinary creator and researcher, a visual artist, poet, researcher, lecturer, curator, essayist, and art consultant. Born in 1949.

Education

• Ph.D. in a combined field of Art, Psychology, and Philosophy, Anglia Ruskin University

• Studies in Art, Education, Management, Behavioral Sciences, Museology, Group Facilitation, NLP Practitioner.

Professional Experience

• Since 1985, an active visual artist, exhibited in about 50 group exhibitions in Israel and abroad, and around 17 solo exhibitions.

• Participated in significant environmental and art projects (Festival of Festivals, Even in Galilee Festival, Yehiam Renaissance Festival etc.).

• 1994 - 2006:   Head of the Interdisciplinary Art Studies Center, Western Galilee College – founded, managed, and taught.

• Curated exhibitions in institutions, for groups and individuals in various categories.

• Initiated and established centers for visual arts in educational institutions.

• Lectured in higher education institutions, including Tel-Hai College, Shaanan College, Haifa University, and more.

• Chair of the Art Committee in the Community, Partnership 2000, Jewish Agency.

• Chair of the Israel Women Artists Association.

• Senior lecturer at the School of Society and Art, Ono Academic College.

• Lecturer at the Wingate - Levinsky  - Art and Movement Therapy Training.

Publications and Artworks

• Authored eight books of poetry and art, including "The Sound of Sand Ticking in Silence," "Portrait in the Lake's Poetry," "All Were My Faces," Poetry and painting speak" "Tale of a Noble Woman," "Elections in the Forest," "The Scroll of Esther," "Shirleyom – 365 Days Around the Word."

• Published articles in journals, anthologies, cultural and art websites, and critical art journals.

• Editor of art books.

• Authored a research book "The Art of Self Research."

• Regular writer for 'Here – Israeli Reality in Art' magazine.

• Curator of the literary and art journal 'Bigalal.'

• Editorial board member of journals 'Voice of the Crowd,' 'The Corridor,' 'Voice of Poetry.'

• Editor and host of poetry events, and the 'Speaking Poetry' initiative.

• Facilitator of creative writing workshops.

• Publishes articles in literature, poetry, art, combining psychology and philosophy, with an interdisciplinary approach, in local and international journals.
